Serving Clovis, Portales and the Surrounding Communities
Does life ever seem to be one battle after another? Do you manage to survive one hurdle only to be confronted by another one? Well, I have good news!
What about the eagles? They spread their wings while the wind and storms carry them above the conflict. How about Matthew 11: 28-30?
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." (NIV).
The bumblebee does not know his big body and tiny little wings are supposed to make it impossible for him to fly. Guess what? He flies anyway! His secret? "With God all things are possible." (Luke 1:37 KJV)
So life isn't always easy. Problems and trials do occur. It isn't easy to sit by the sick bed of a child whose fever is raging. It isn't easy to not worry when finances are low and bills come piling in. It isn't easy to be at peace when a doctor's report is not good.
Yet we can have peace. Read Isaiah 26:3: "You, LORD, give true peace to those who depend on you, because they trust you." (NCV)
An airplane takes off against the wind and lands against the wind.
Jesus can take you off against troubles and he will land you in his love.
Luke 19:40 tell us if we don't praise the Lord, the very rocks will cry out. Fish fossils have been found on top of mountains.
Noah didn't give up for the ark.
It's always too soon to quit in this race of life. God has planned your life and he wants the highest good for you. A stubborn faith in the midst of hard circumstances brings you victory.
Despite problems there will always be hope and faith. Evidence is all around us. There is a void in the human heart, a hole, and a vacuum that only God can fill.
Ask someone who has been healed.
Ask someone who has peace of mind.
We don't always understand why things happen but if we did, would we need any faith?
With Jesus we win. Yes, this life has difficulties and problems, but we are more than conquerors because our Lord is in control. This means we are winning, even in bad times. The Creator of this universe is with us always, in this life and in the next.
We have a God that planned your life and he wants the highest good for you. Trust in him. Cancel all the negatives.
With Jesus we are winners in a lost dark world. Let's think like winners.
Life isn't always easy but we're tough!
Be encouraged today. Set your face like a flint and say,
"Life, here I come and I'm a winner!"
How do I know all of this? I've read the last page.
Hallelujah!
