How did your career bring you to Clovis?
I wanted a change in my career. Before I became a recruiter, I was in logistics for 14 years. I decided to volunteer to become a recruiter and make a change.
What have you found to be one of your biggest challenges as a military recruiter?
Planning and overcoming the different daily obstacles. A recruiter has to be really flexible to meet the needs of the public.
How do you believe you will be able to impact or improve recruitment in the local area?
I will be able to impact or improve recruitment here in Clovis because I am stationed here locally. That makes me more accessible and I can also get more credible information out to the public.
What do you feel is most rewarding and fun about recruitment?
Knowing that I have helped change a person's life and given them an opportunity for success.
What is one of your favorite pastimes outside of your job?
Spending time with family and friends.
If you could pick one song to best describe your life, what would it be and why?
I don't have a song that will describe my life, but I have a song that will describe my life as a recruiter. The song would be "On the Road Again." As a recruiter I'm in and out of my office constantly on the road driving to appointments and schools.
