Serving Clovis, Portales and the Surrounding Communities
For those hoping for a wet spring, the news is not good, according to local weather forecaster Joseph Weldon Crim.
The Clovis resident is predicting a dry spring based on a Native American method passed down from his grandfather that is predicated on the direction of the wind at sunrise on March 22.
The wind blew out of the northwest on Friday, which means "not much rain," Crim said.
Crim claims his predictions are 80 percent accurate.
