DENTON, Texas — Texas Woman's continued to ride the long ball on Friday, completing a Lone Star Conference sweep of Eastern New Mexico University with a 7-2 victory.
The league-leading Pioneers (33-7, 11-1 LSC), ranked eighth in NCAA Division II, got their fourth and fifth homers in the three-game set, breaking open a 4-1 game in the bottom of the fifth when Jordan Readicker led off with her 13th home run before catcher Ashley Maddux added her third, a two-run shot, later in the inning.
ENMU (10-28, 3-9) cut TWU's lea to 4-1 in the fifth when catcher Aurelia Sandoval led off with a double, took third on a passed ball and scored on a triple down the right field line by Ke Von Schriltz.
