Information on composting food waste, working with a no-bake polymer clay and preparing healthy lunches and snacks will be the featured topics on "Creative Living" 9:30 p.m. Tuesday and noon Thursday.
Business partners, Christy Kabbani and Nicky Poloski will explain their concept at Two Mothers Foods where they compost all vegetarian waste in order to save landfill space. They will also talk about steps they take to control nutrient waste. They live in Naperville, Ill.
Designer and crafter, Ann Butler will show how to take a wooden wreath, various paints and a No Bake Polymer Clay to create a variety of fall home décor items. She uses a push mold to create the leaves and then adds metallic shimmers for that extra special touch. Ann's company is Ann Butler Designs and she's from Villard, Minn.
Pat Baird is a registered dietitian and represents Country Crock. She will talk about healthy school lunches and snacks and look at some quick and easy ways to make nutritious lunches and snacks at home. She's from Greenwich, Conn.
Information on showcasing a collection in your home and making chenille fabric will be the featured topics on "Creative Living" noon Tuesday and 2 p.m. Saturday.
Latriece Brooks, an interior decorator from Clovis, will share tips and samples to show how to feature various collections in the home. Her company is Brooks' Interiors
Diane Lieb will show how to make faux chenille and then use it to add embellishments to pillows, vests, sweatshirts and much more. She's from Portales.
Two Mothers Foods
Two Mothers Foods began by offering a lunch program for the Four Winds Waldorf School in Warrenville, Ill. They are expanding, and now have a reduced-waste lunch shop in Naperville. They hope to share their venture with other conscientious eaters who like the idea that their lunch creates minimal waste.
