Lifestyle expert to appear on show

Information on products to help relieve stress, making Victorian posies, and recipes for breakfast will be the featured topics on “Creative linkLiving” 9:30 p.m. Tuesday and noon Thursday.

Laura Dellutri is a lifestyle expert with Healthy Housekeeper, Inc., and she’s going to show new products on the market that just might make your life more stress free. These include a Shiatsu pillow, a foot bath, a sound spa, and a single-serving coffeemaker — just to name a few. She lives in Overland Park, Kan.

Casey Schwartz is a floral designer and co-owner of Flower Duet, and she’s going to show how to make a tussie-mussie or what is sometimes referred to as Victorian posies. Victorians believed flowers had special meanings, so the idea is to select flowers to convey your special message to someone. Schwartz is from Redondo Beach, Calif.

Power Up! What makes breakfast the best meal of the day? Registered dietitian and author Pat Baird is going to answer this question, and discuss the use of MyPlate in determining what to eat at every meal. She represents National Got Milk Campaign and lives in Greenwich, Conn.

Information on one-stroke painting, making wire-edged tulips and preparing after-school snacks will be the featured topics on “Creative Living” noon Tuesday and 2 p.m. Saturday.

One Stroke certified instructor Kris Cranford will show how easy it is to paint on trash cans and other household objects using the Donna Dewberry method of One Stroke Painting. The scene she’ll paint is Beach Paradise. Cranford is from Portales.

Author and designer, Helen Gibb will show how to make beautiful tulips using various wire-edged ribbons and tell how to display them. Her company is Helen Gibb Design, Inc. in Louisville, Colo.

Gayle Stephenson represents the Texas Peanut Producers Board in Lubbock. She will share some quick and easy recipes for preparing peanut treats that make great after-school snacks, as well as party foods.

Creamy banana walnut oatmeal

1 cup 1 percent milk

2 packets instant oatmeal

1/2 ripe banana, mashed

1/2 Tbsp. chopped walnuts

In a small bowl, combine milk and oatmeal. Microwave on high for 1 to 2 minutes until steaming hot, but not boiling. Add mashed banana and mix until creamy. Garnish with walnuts.
