Because of Jesus we have love

Imagine living in a world without love. I heard the story of a little boy who was asked to give some blood to save his sister's life. He said "Yes," with no hesitation.

After the transfusion the doctor noticed tears in the little boy's eyes. He asked the boy why he was crying. He replied, "Will it happen right away? How many minutes before I die?" That is love!

"Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous, it does not brag, and it is not proud. Love is not rude, is not selfish, and does not get upset with others. Love does not count up wrongs that have been done. Love is not happy with evil but is happy with the truth. Love patiently accepts all things. It always trusts, always hopes, and always remains strong." (1 Corinthians 13:4-7, NCV)

Many maternity wards have little babies who have not survived from a lack of love. Hospitals call it "failure to survive."

Who can fathom a mother's love for a child? That surely has to be close to God's love, yet his love for us in so much more.

Because we love, there is a reason to get up in the morning. Because we love , there's a reason to go on living after a loss. Even in the midst of trials, as long as there are people there is a reason to live and love. The happiest people in the world are those who are mindful of others.

Love can heal the deepest hurt. Love brings peace in a sea of unrest. Love is the bridge over troubled waters. Life makes live precious. Take away love and you have taken away life.

Have you ever wondered why you have had pain in your life? You can trace it back to love. The soldiers gave Jesus' much pain yet he did that for us. Because of love, there's hope.

"I will praise you as long as I live. I will lift up my hands in prayer to your name"

(Psalm 63:4, NCV).

Because of Jesus' we have love!
