Choose to be happy every day

Each new day is a present wrapped with God’s love. It is a precious gift for all of us. We can open our gift with graciousness or we can ruin it with murmuring and complaining. The choice is ours.

Our attitude makes the difference. God’s gifts to you and me are precious. Love, family and friends are precious gifts that money cannot buy. We have the choice. Life is an exciting adventure. God’s beauty abounds all around. The instant you open your eyes each morning, make a decision to be happy and pass it on. “A merry heart doeth good like a medicine.” (Proverbs 17:22).

The breaking of dawn comes with a splendor of light, tiptoeing through my window. Hues of pink with ribbons of sunshine bring a day of promise. It beckons us to find a quiet place and count our many blessings.

Not matter what has a happened in the past or what happiness in the future we can make up our minds to be happy. Today is all we really have anyway.

Making good choices in this journey of life has many benefits: Trials become triumphs, problems have solutions, questions have answers, gain takes away pain., depression flees, optimism reigns, peace pervades, blessings pursue, faith advances, restoration occurs, and joy prevails.

Apostle Paul made a decision to be happy each day: “I am not telling you this because I need anything. I have learned to be satisfied with the things I have and with every satisfied with the things I have and with everything that happens. I know how to live when I am poor, and I know how to live when I have plenty. I have learned the secret of being plenty I have learned the secret of being happy at any time in everything that happens when I have enough to eat and when I go hungry, when I have more than I need and when I do not have enough. I can do all things through Christ, because he gives me strength. (Philippians 4:1-13)

Time is fleeting. Today is the time to live, love, laugh and be happy for “God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end. So I concluded there is nothing better than to be happy and enjoy ourselves as long as we can” (Ecclesiastes 3:11-12).

Let’s choose to be happy today, tomorrow and every day. You will have a lot of happy days and a lot of happy memories.
