Edible plants on upcoming show

Information on painting bronze columns, how to build a healthier heart and life, and edible plants will be the featured topics on “Creative Living” 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, and noon Thursday.

Jamie Alcorta, owner of Walls of Art in Lubbock, will show how to paint columns or any accessory to coordinate using oil rubbed bronze cabinet hardware and plumbing fixtures. These are some of the new products which are shown in today’s new home construction.

Registered dietitian and author, Pat Baird is going to explain how to build a healthier heart and a healthier life. Her four-step plan is do-able for everyone. She lives in Greenwich, Conn.

Curt Jaynes owns and operates GardenSource Nursery & Landscaping in Portales, and he’s going to talk about edible plants, such as thyme, stevia, lavender as well as geraniums, pansies and other flowers. Jaynes is from Portales.

Information on making party favors, shopping and cooking tips for new cooks, and speed tools for faster scrapbooking will be the featured topics on “Creative Living” noon Tuesday and 2 p.m. Saturday.

Nancy Siler of Wilton Industries will show how to make a variety of party favors for different occasions. She’s from Woodridge, Ill.

Author Marcie Rothman will give cooking tips and shopping tips for new cooks, as well as share suggestions regarding costs comparisons and seasonal shopping. Her company is Western Research Kitchens in San Diego, Calif.

Creative Memories consultant Debbie Sorensen will show a variety of speed tools to make scrapbooking even easier. Some of these include trimmers, corner rounders, tape runners, journal boxes and much more.
