Serving Clovis, Portales and the Surrounding Communities
The Clovis Industrial Development Corporation will be taking a survey to determine the needs of local businesses, according to a Curry County Chamber of Commerce press release.
The survey will be conducted in conjunction with CMM Enterprises as part of the Business Retention and Expansion Strategies Program.
According to the release, the same survey was conducted in 1994 and proved successful in addressing the needs of local businesses.
In the release, Roy Miller, a BRE specialist with CMM Enterprises, said the survey will determine the needs of local businesses and what can be done by city officials to meet those needs for more efficient operation.
“It’s about economic development and about supporting local businesses that are already here,” Miller said of the project in the release.
“It’s still commonly known that most jobs created come from businesses that already exist and for that reason, CIDC has chosen to focus on the existing businesses in our community.”
