Chamber holding lunch, counseling program for veterans

The Clovis-Curry County Chamber of Commerce is holding a lunch and business counseling program for local veterans Tuesday at the Clovis Civic Center.

The free luncheon, set for 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m., includes individual counseling sessions on benefits available to veterans who want to start their own business.

Other sponsoring organizations include the Roosevelt County Chamber of Commerce, the New Mexico Veterans Business Outreach Center, the U.S. Small Business Development Center, Procurement Technical Assistance Program (PTAP), the New Mexico Department of Veterans' Services and Wells Fargo.

Walkins for the event are welcome but registration is encouraged at either the Clovis Chamber of Commerce at 105 E. Grand or by calling 575-763-3435; or the Portales Chamber of Commerce at 100 S. Ave. A or calling 356-8541.
