ALBUQUERQUE — The Clovis High girls soccer team earned the No. 12 seed on Sunday in the upcoming 12-team Class 6A state tournament, the first time the Lady Wildcats have qualified for the postseason since 1998.
CHS (12-6-1) will play at fifth-seeded and defending Class 5A state runnerup Cibola (12-4-2) in a 12:30 p.m. start on Saturday. The winner advances to a quarterfinal match at 1 p.m. on Nov. 6 against fourth-seeded Rio Rancho Cleveland.
CHS athletic director Dale Fullerton said in a release from the school that admission to Saturday’s match is $8 for adults and $5 for students and senior citizens.
