This year’s Combined Federal Campaign will run from Nov. 3 through Dec. 15.

As federal employees, we have the opportunity to better our local, national and international communities by contributing toward efforts such as the CFC.

This year’s CFC theme is “I gave for GOOD.” We want to allow as many Air Commandos as possible the opportunity to donate to various charities; any contribution can make a difference. This year’s goal for Cannon is $175,000.

The CFC is an annual charity drive among federal civilian, military, and postal employees that allows contributions to approved charities, and is the keystone of philanthropy for more than 2,400 charities. It is one of, if not the, largest single charity drive in the world.

Groups and squadrons will be tracked individually to allow top donators the chance to pie their respective commander in the face. That’s right, this year’s top squadron donors will pie their squadron commander in the face, top group donors will pie their group commander in the face and the top wing donor will get to pie Col. Tony Bauernfeind, 27th Special Operations Wing commander, in the face.

The announcement of the winners and pie to the face event is scheduled to take place on Dec. 15.

Information regarding the CFC and donations can be found at desertswcfc.org or on MyPay. All other questions can be routed to 2nd Lt. Courtney Wittman or Master Sgt. Jack Whitfield.
