27th Special Operations Medical GroupIn an effort to better serve the beneficiaries using the services of the 27th Special Operations Medical Group, Cannon’s medics will be moving their wing training day to the first Wednesday of each month starting Dec. 3.
“Mondays are historically one of our busiest days of the week, so remaining open during the wing's training days will allow members to schedule appointments that are otherwise difficult to make due to mission requirements,” said Chief Master Sgt. Sharon St. Clair, 27 SOMDG superintendent.
Remaining open on the first Monday of each month also allows the med group’s doors to stay open for patients who have waited over the weekend to receive non-acute care, or pick up prescription refills.
“It’s just another way the medical group is striving to find new ways to meet our Air Commando's medical needs,” St. Clair stated.
For information regarding medical training or down days, beneficiaries can log onto MiCare or call the base pharmacy's refill phone number at 575-784-1571.
