CCRW met Veterans Day at Dakota's Steakhouse. Twenty seven persons attended.
Robin Montano, first vice-president, introduced Chet Spear, who retired after 20 years' military service. Spear joined the Air Force at 18, traveling to Korea, Japan, Pennsylvania, New York and New Mexico. He also served in Vietnam at Da Nang Air Base, aka “Rocket City.”
Spear spoke about the importance of honoring the millions of veterans who have served our country, and remembering those who fought and died for our freedom. He expressed thanks to the families of military members.
Gladys Birdsong presented nominations for 2015 officers: Laquita Terry, president; Jeanette Spriggs, first vice-president; Candace Morrison, second vice-president; Gladys Birdsong, secretary; Debbie Spriggs, treasurer. The slate was approved by acclamation.
Christmas Tea will be held 11 a.m. Dec. 9 at 113 Tanning Way. Cheryl Elliott volunteered as greeter for the Jan. 13 meeting.

PRMC Auxiliary
Thirty-one auxilians and two guests, Rhonda Murdock, honorary member, and Lorraine Weingates of KCLV, attended the PRMC Auxiliary annual luncheon Nov. 18 at Baxter Curren Senior Center.
Vivian Lake presented the “Concerns of getting older,” a humorous take on the signs that tell us we are getting older.
Patricia Mondragon, president, introduced the slate of officers for 2015. Liz Tanner, treasurer; Celina Snider, secretary; Cindy Landers, president-elect and Debbie Lasiter, president. All nominees were elected by acclamation.
Eva Verdile was honored for being voted Auxilian of the Year. Rhonda Murdock on behalf of the hospital presented Verdile with a silver Nambe bowl, a symbol of New Mexico’s heritage. Patricia Mondragon, president presented Verdile with a wooden cross.
Mary Kay Nabholz received an award for 35 years of service.
