Offense

Demario Mayfield, Angelo State, Sr., F, Royston, Ga. — Mayfield scored 64 points in three games, shooting 71 percent from the field. He notched his second double-double of the season with 23 points and 11 rebounds against Western State.

ENMU nominee

John Gilliam, Jr., G, San Bernadino, Calif. — Recorded his first double-double at ENMU on Saturday, scoring 21 points and grabbing 10 rebounds while hitting a game-winning 3-pointer as time ran out in a 76-73 win over Harding. For the week, he scored 34 points and grabbed 15 rebounds in two games, with six assists.

Defense

Darrell Williams, Texas A&M-Commerce, Sr., F, Chicago — Williams helped the Lions beat back-to-back Top 25 opponents in California Baptist and Dixie State, scoring 53 points and grabbing 37 rebounds in three games. He is the only LSC player averaging a double-double (14.4 ppg, 10.9 rpg).

ENMU nominee

Lawrence Domingo, Jr., F, Union City, Calif. — Grabbed 15 rebounds and had three blocks in two games, to go with 29 points.

Women

Offense

Kathy Thomas, Tarleton State, Sr., G, Flint, Mich. — Thomas put together her best two-game stretch at TSU, shooting 63 percent from the field, including 8-of-10 from beyond the are, in wins over Lubbock Christian and Texas-Permian Basin. Against LCU, she went 7-for-7 from 3-point range and scored a career-best 25 points as the TexAnns posted a 73-71 overtime win. She scored 17 points and added nine rebounds, two blocks and two steals in a 65-61 win over UTPB.

ENMU nominee

Sarah Stinnett, Jr., G, Fort Sumner — Averaged a team-best 12 points in three Zias games last week, including a 17-point performance at Fort Lewis and a 16-point outing against UTPB. She added 13 rebounds, five assists and three steals.

Defense

Sasha Watson, West Texas A&M, So., G, Amarillo — Watson earned all-tournament honors in WT’s Thanksgiving Classic, helping the Lady Buffs beat No. 8 Harding 67-65 in overtime and Truman State 63-49. She helped WT force 37 turnovers and had a team-high nine steals in the two games.

ENMU nominee

Jasmine Johnson, Sr., C, DeSoto, Texas — Collected 19 rebounds (six defensive) and five steals during a tough three-game week. She scored 27 points for the week and added five assists and one block.
