Helping on the holidays

The following is a list of non-profit organizations accepting donations to help those in need through the holidays:

• Lighthouse Mission Children’s Christmas celebration — 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Saturday, 407 L. Casillas Blvd.

Bring unwrapped toys ranging from $10-$20 for boys and girls 2-14 years. Can be dropped off at the Lighthouse Mission through Friday.

• The Portales Ministerial Alliance will host a Special Food Distribution — 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. Dec. 20.

The distribution will be held at Central Christian Church 1528 S. Main St. in Portales.

• The Clovis “Thursday” Rotary Club — Accepting donations for the Weekend Food for Kids Backpack Program through December.
