Christmas is right around the corner and so if you haven’t started thinking about gifts for your fashion forward friend, you’re running out of time.

Shopping for the fashionista can be the most complex task ever. Especially if she’s as particular as I am.

After so many years of dropping hints to my husband that gifting clothes and/or shoes to me isn’t the smartest thing to do to spare any hurt feelings, he will still brave it every now and again. He’s convinced he knows fashion.

I can’t say I’m a master of fashion, but I definitely love wearing it more than I like writing about it. Point being, if you’re as brave as my husband is and prefer taking the time out to shop for a one of a kind piece as opposed to purchasing a gift card somewhere, here are some simple and easy gift ideas that won’t break the bank but will may just make the list:

• Women’s loafers. Flats are really making their mark this year. Women are killing their feet for fashion a lot less these days and are sporting more styles of comfort. Sneakers, pointed toe flats and embellished loafers are making it real big in on the fashion scene right now.

• Turtleneck sweater. Looks like we’re going to be cold for a bit longer so snagging a few of these sweaters are a great purchase. You’re fashionista will love pairing these with a pair of her leather pants.

• Cardigan. You can never go wrong with cardigans. A fitted bodice shape is best and neutral colors go with everything. They’re great for dressing up a plain shirt or blouse or as a cover up over a dress.

• Scarves. They’re the simplest, yet one of the most stylish pieces you can buy.

• Plaid button-up. If you like 90’s fashion, well, plaid is back. One of these nice button-up shirts look pretty cool with a pair of distressed denim jeans.

If shopping garments isn’t your thing, there are always accessories or shoes. Not feeling hip on these items? Then get yourself over to the your nearest magazine stand and glance through a few fashion magazines to get our ideas flowing.

Trust me, she can never have too much fashion. There’s a gift out there for every fashionista, so get to shopping.
