Police investigating sleeping officer

The Clovis Police Department is conducting an investigation into an officer caught on tape dozing off in his police cruiser while on duty.

“It is an internal personnel matter being looked into by his immediate supervisor,” Capt. Patrick Whitney said Friday afternoon.

Police Chief Steve Sanders declined to comment.

The 25-second dash camera footage was uploaded to YouTube channel Clovis Police Watch, and appears to depict Officer Albert Sena napping.
