Courtesy photo: Becky Merrill AMVETS Department Commander Tommy Knight of Clovis and AMVETS Second State Vice Brenda Hunt of Farmington present a plaque and steel pot helmet to a wounded warrior who will be residing at the Eastern New Mexico University Student Veteran House Project, which was donated to the university by AMVETS earlier this year. The helmet belonged to a soldier killed in action named Henery Mitchell. When a search for his family yielded no results, the organization decided to donate the helmet to the university for safekeeping.
