Check your water...

• If you're in Curry or Roosevelt counties and using well water here's a chance to get it tested for free. The Eastern Plains Council of Governments has teamed up with the state Environment Department to offer testing at no charge on July 24 from noon to 6 p.m. and July 25 from 9 a.m. to noon at EPCOG's offices, 418 Main St., Clovis. Getting around Clovis...

• The maze and mayhem that is Mabry, thanks to construction, prompts a missive from the city. Drivers can access businesses on the south side of Mabry by turning south on Oak Street and traveling east or west on Santa Fe Avenue. Businesses on the north side of Mabry can still be accessed...but you're going to wait a while if making a left. Traffic is at a crawl.
