Xcel announces problems with toll-free phone service

Xcel Energy sent out a public service announcement Thursday to announce that the company is experiencing technical difficulties with its toll-free phone numbers.

“I don’t have an estimate as to when the numbers will be working again, but I will update (people) as soon as I hear,” said Spokesman Wes Reeves.

The announcement said customers should call 612-330-5500 if they need to speak to a representative immediately, and outages can also be reported at http://www.xcelenergy.com/Outages.
