When we talk about rubber stamping, we’re usually referring to craft making. But Julia Usher, chef and cookbook author, will show how to actually rubber-stamp already top-coated cookie. She’ll explain the type of ink pad to use and other tools for the project — and they are completely edible.

She’s from St. Louis, Missouri.

Designer and crafter Ann Butler will show us how to use a wooden wreath, various paints and no bake polymer clay to create a variety of fall home décor items. She uses a push mold to create the leaves and then adds metallic shimmers for that extra special touch. Butler owns a company in Villard, Minnesota.

Information on making a bed canopy, retirement and second careers, and recipes for good food gifts any time of the year will be the featured topics on “Creative Living” at noon on Tuesday and at 2 p.m. on Saturday. (All times are Mountain)

Andrea Schewe is a pattern designer for a pattern company in New York City. She’s going to show us how to make a canopy for a bed using a large wooden embroidery hoop. This is an easy project to make and is very attractive since it can be draped in many different ways.

Thomas Lee is an elder attorney with Senior Resources of America, and he will discuss retirement, the “golden years” and second careers for the stage of life he calls Act Two. Lee is from West Hills, California.

Cookbook author and home economist Connie Moyers has teamed up with her colleagues to publish a cookbook called “Remember When We Cooked.” She’ll prepare some quick and easy recipes that make great food gifts anytime of the year. Moyers lives in Clovis.

Pizzazzy Cranberry Raspberry Sauce

• 1/2 cup orange juice

• 3 cups sugar

• 1 pkg. (3 ozs.) raspberry flavored gelatin

• 1 cup boiling water

Place cranberries, orange juice and sugar in large saucepan. Bring to a boil; simmer 10 minutes, stirring constantly. Set aside. In a large bowl, stir together gelatin and boiling water until gelatin dissolves. Add cranberry orange mixture to bowl with gelatin. Mix thoroughly. Spoon jam into jars; cool 1 hour. May be stored in refrigerator for up to 1 month or in freezer for up to 3 months. MICROWAVE: Omit water from recipe. Combine ingredients in 3-quart microwave safe dish, loosely covered with waxed paper. Cook on High power, 8-10 minutes, or until sugar and gelatin are dissolved, stirring occasionally to crush cranberries.

“Creative Living" is produced and hosted by Sheryl Borden. The show is carried by more than 118 PBS stations in the United States, Canada, Guam and Puerto Rico and is distributed by Westlink, Albuquerque.
