Education briefs: CCC hosting photography invitational

Clovis Community College is scheduled to host a photography invitational, “Through Lenses & Light,” from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. today.

The exhibition, which features local photographers’ work, will be at the Eula Mae Edwards Museum, 417 Schepps Boulevard.

The reception is free.

Language proficiency to be recognized

Clovis High School graduates who have attained proficiency in a language other than English will receive an emblem reflecting the skill on their diplomas.

A Clovis Municipal Schools news release said the Seal of Bilingualism-Biliteracy emblem “encourages students to pursue biliteracy, honors the skills students attain, and can be evidence of skills that are attractive to future employers and college admissions offices,” the release said.
