Clovis man convicted, sentenced

A Clovis man on Thursday was sentenced to 18 years in prison after a jury found him guilty of kidnapping and battery against a household member.

Joshua Quiton Jackson, 29, was accused of domestic battery in April, according to a news release from District Attorney Andrea Reeb.

A jury heard testimony on Thursday morning, then deliberated for about two hours before returning the guilty verdict.

District Judge Matt Chandler handed down the sentence.
