Men

• Records: ENMU 6-18 (2-10 Lone Star Conference), Texas A&M-Commerce 16-9 (5-7)

• Last meeting: Jan. 23, the Greyhounds beat the Lions 72-60 at Greyhound Arena.

• Last time out: Both teams played on Wednesday, the Hounds falling to Tarleton State at home 83-53 while the Lions lost at West Texas A&M 93-84.

• Of note: With two games left, four teams share the LSC lead at 8-4, with Tarleton State a game back in fifth place. … ENMU held the Lions to their second-lowest point total of the season in the earlier matchup. … Commerce has had 10 players start at some point this season; no one has started more than 22 games. … The Lions have four players averaging in double figures, led by 6-foot-9 senior F/C Bryant Crowder (16.0 ppg, 6.8 rpg, 61 percent FGs). Others are 5-9 senior G Anthony Adams (12.9 ppg, 89 assists, 37 steals), 6-2 senior G Jeremy Jones (11.8 ppg, 37 percent 3-point FGs) and 6-8 senior F Everett Pleasant (10.4 ppg, 6.9 rpg). They combined for all but seven of the team’s points at Greyhound Arena. … The Lions lead the all-time series 42-20.

Women

• Records: ENMU 10-14 (5-9 Lone Star Conference), Texas A&M-Commerce 14-12 (7-7)

• Last meeting: Jan. 23, ENMU handed the Lions a 73-65 setback at Greyhound Arena.

• Last time out: Both teams played on Wednesday. ENMU lost at home to Tarleton State 76-60 while A&M-Commerce dropped a 63-58 decision at West Texas A&M.

• Of note: With Wednesday’s win, ENMU reached double figures for the first time since 2006-07 (14-12). … Commerce had won four in a row before losing its last two to the LSC’s top teams, WT and Angelo State. The Lions led WT 44-42 early in the final period on Wednesday, but with the loss dropped to 5-54 all-time against the Lady Buffs. … ENMU leads the all-time series 33-26. The Hounds have gone 10-14 at Commerce and lost six of their last seven there. … Commerce is 8-3 at home this season, while ENMU is 4-8 on the road. … The Hounds would need wins today and next Saturday at home against WT, and some help, to move up from their current No. 7 seed in the LSC tournament. Meantime, they’re just a game against of eighth-place Midwestern State (5-19, 4-10). … Artejah Gay, a 5-11 sophomore F, leads the Lions at 11.1 ppg, followed by 5-6 junior G Shomari Harris (10.3) and 5-7 sophomore G Princess Davis (10.0). Gay is shooting 56 percent from the field, while Harris (93) and Davis (41) pace the team in assists and steals, respectively.
