Balancing the demands of work, cleaning, parenting and homework can be tough at times. Not every week is the same, especially when you have those extra tasks added to your list, like trying to plan for a holiday. Happy Easter, by the way.
Sometimes the last thing we need is another “to do” added to our daily/weekly checklist. But, at times life proves that there’s no such thing as “balance,” and to just go with the flow. In the back of your mind, though, you’re accounting for every minute and hoping everything falls into place.

Motivation to put a decent outfit together to leave the house in has proven elusive. Lately, my outfit of choice has been tights and relaxed T-shirts. I’m sure I’m in good company.
Here are some ways to put a little pep in your step and get back on the style track:
• Showcase your “I can’t leave my house without my —”, item. Whether it’s lipstick, a hat or a pair of shoes. Center your wardrobe around this item and you’ll be sure to feel good about yourself.
• Next, focus on what people see first. Your hairstyle, to start, can fix everything. When you’re having a great hair day, nothing else matters.
• Add accessories. This will give your outfit the accent it needs. For example, you can put on a pair of chandelier earrings to dress up your everyday ponytail or bun. The right accessories can make even a hoodie look chic. Hence, how to be shabby chic.
• Pop of color. I’m a girl who loves to wear grays and other neutral colors. Electing to have a versatile closet to mix match is much easier to do with neutrals. But adding a colorful lipstick or shoe will liven up your look.
