Elena Etcheverry is the founder and executive director for Charity Wings in San Marcos, California. She is going to show how to use the Kinkajou bottle cutter to make things like wine glasses, votive candle holders, cups and much more. This is just one of the many home-grown businesses she works with through her non-profit organization.
Connie Moyers, formerly with the New Mexico Cooperative Extension Service, is going to talk about what she calls the “poison purse.” She says we need to be wary of the danger of many common items we probably all have in our purses or pockets. Moyers lives in Clovis.

Information on do-it-yourself remodeling, making quilt labels and recipes for entertaining will be the featured topics on “Creative Living” noon Tuesday and 2 p.m. Saturday.
Paul Zuck, a professional remodeler, will explain what questions every homeowner should ask themselves before tackling a Do It Yourself job. He represents the National Association of Remodeling Industry, and lives in Allen, Texas.
Kathy Bowers is a quilter and author, and she will explain why a quilt label is necessary to preserve history, as well as record who made the quilt and the date. It is also a way for the quilter to make a statement by repeating an element of the quilt top, and she’ll show how to do this. Bowers is from Kelso, Washington.
Connie Moyers will share some of her favorite recipes for entertaining, and they are all quick and easy to prepare -- and delicious, too.
Cherry Punch Bowl Cake
• 1 pkg. (4 serving size) vanilla instant pudding mix
• 2 cups milk
• 1 16 ozs. frozen pound cake, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
• 1 can (20 ozs.) cherry pie filling
• 1 can (8 ozs.) crushed pineapple, undrained
• 2 bananas, sliced
• 1 carton (8 ozs.) frozen whipped topping, thawed
• 1/2 cup chopped pecans
• 1/2 cup flaked coconut
Mix pudding mix with milk. Set in refrigerator to partly set. (It works better in this recipe if it is not completely set.) Use a very large clear glass bowl for best effect or any very large bowl. Layer half of each ingredient in the bowl in the following order: cake, cherry pie filling, pudding, pineapple, banana slices, whipped topping, pecan and coconut. Repeat layers, using remaining half of each ingredient. Chill 1-2 hours or overnight. Makes 12-14 servings.
“Creative Living” is produced and hosted by Sheryl Borden. The show is carried by more than 118 PBS stations in the United States, Canada, Guam and Puerto Rico and is distributed by Westlink of Albuquerque.
