Marjolaine Walker is the owner and designer of Twelve Stones Scrapbooking," and she's going to show some card projects made with coloring pages.
She'll demonstrate using dual brush pens and the different ways to color with them. Walker is from Ottawa, Canada.
What's for lunch? The answer is kale but what is kale? Carol Fenster is an author and nutritionist, and she will explain what kale is, show various varieties and explain why it is so good for us. She'll also show how to make kale chips. Her company is Savory Palate, LLC in Centennial, Colorado.
Information on preventing sexual violence, determining your wine personality, and talking about forgiveness will be the featured topics on "Creative Living" on Tuesday at noon and on Saturday at 2 p.m. Amber Hamilton will discuss ways to prevent sexual violence, how to educate parents and guardians on tools to help them facilitate discussions on sex and sexual violence and share resources. She is the former administrator for S.A.N.E. in Portales.
Ever wonder what type of wine is the perfect "fit" for you? David Mirassou is a wine expert and a sixth-generation winemaker, and he will explain a fin, "un-scientific" quiz to determine your wine personality — and it's on their website. He's with Mirassou Winery in San Jose, California.
Kirk Wilkinson is an author and speaker, and he will talk about how forgiveness leads to being happy. His book is titled "The Happiness Factor," and he'll also explain benefits to forgiveness. He lives in Mesa, Arizona.
Sweet and spicy "dump" pork
• 1 pkg. Taco Seasoning Mix
• 1 jar (8 oz.) apricot jam
• 1 jar (l2oz.) salsa
• 1 1/2 pounds pork chops or loin, cut into 1 inch pieces
For immediate cooking. Preheat oven to 350° F. Place all ingredients into a large baking dish, turn pork to coat. Bake until center of pork pieces reaches 145 degrees on meat thermometer, 20 to 30 minutes.
