We asked our Facebook followers: “A Clovis mother and son are scheduled in court, on separate dockets, on charges of an incestuous relationship. (Editor’s note: Both trials have since been moved to next year.) Since the relationship didn’t start until they were consenting adults, do you think this is a case the judicial system needs to pursue?”

• Candace Marin: Incest is incest and that is just nasty. Guilty. We do not need no incest babies running around.

• Tim Garcia: They didn’t kill anybody, and they weren’t selling drugs to kids. I’m sure there are more serious crimes to be tried in the 9th Judicial District. However the law is the law. They do deserve a fair and impartial trial by a group of their peers. Even though their peers would have to be incestuous for it to be fair and impartial.

• Jackie Carroll: This is a waste of time that could be used to convict the people who committed more horrible crimes.

• Dayton Chavez: We all come from one. Amen.

We asked our Facebook followers: “President Obama granted 98 commutations of federal inmate Thursday, bringing the total for this year to 688 — the most commutations ever granted by a president in a single year. Many of them are reducing for penalties drug offenses to current standards. What do you think?”

• Mike Wood: Good. Save room for the violent, the rapists, the thiefs.

• Lynne Underwood: I think Obama sucks. Once again, be glad he’s gone in 2017. Hallelujah.

We asked our Facebook followers: “Starting this week, Instagram is introducing a button that leads you to buy a featured product. Would you ever shop through a social media?”

• Rox Trev Thom: Couldn’t be any worse than Craigslist. If the price and product are worth it I would definitely purchase.

• Virgina Herrera: If they accept PayPal, bring it on.
