SAN ANGELO, Texas — Eastern New Mexico University’s men snapped a three-game losing streak with a 67-54 win over Huston-Tillotson on Sunday’s second day of a four-team classic hosted by Angelo State.
Marquise Harris and Andre Hughes scored 17 points apiece for ENMU (2-3), while Chris Lewis just missed a triple double with nine points and a game-high 13 rebounds. Harris and senior guard Chris Wyms each had six assists.
The Hounds, who lost by a point to Howard Payne on Saturday night, led 34-32 at halftime against the Austin, Texas-based Rams (0-2), who were led by 15 points from Jalen Norwood and 10 from Vernest Dodson.
ENMU returns to action in another four-team weekend classic, this one hosted by West Texas A&M. The Hounds play 11:30 a.m. (MDT) against Nebraska-based Wayne State on Friday and against Southern Nazarene on Saturday.
