Serving Clovis, Portales and the Surrounding Communities
Clovis and Portales residents can expect some snowfall this weekend.
National Weather Service Meteorologist Randall Hergert said on Tuesday the high today and Thursday is expected to be around 50 degrees Fahrenheit during the day.
Nighttime temperatures are expected to stay around the mid-20s, he said.
The daytime high temperature is expected to be a little bit lower heading into the weekend, with highs of around 43 degrees on Friday and 40 degrees on Saturday, Hergert added.
Hergert said Clovis and Portales both have a 50 percent chance of snow this weekend.
Snow is expected at nighttime, with a 30 percent chance of rain during the day on Friday and Saturday.
“During the weekend, even if it’s not raining or snowing, it will be overcast,” said Hergert. “If anyone has any plans for a sunny weekend, it’s probably not gonna happen.”
Hergert said a “warming trend” is expected heading into next week, with a high around 52 degrees in Clovis and Portales on Monday.
