The students began gathering non-perishable food items on Nov. 17 by placing advertisements and empty boxes in each classroom of the elementary and high school and various places around the community. The fourth grade and junior classes won a pizza party to be hosted by the BPA members for gathering the most food. Through the generous support of the students and community, 589 non-perishable food items were taken to the food bank on Nov. 22.
