Mannequin decorating new challenge

Thanksgiving has come and gone. Now we can focus our full attention on the latter part of the holiday season. With only 21 days left, Christmas is fast approaching. If you still haven't decorated, incorporate your own sense of style to help decorate for the holidays.

Are you tired of your traditional Christmas tree? For the fashion forward girl, ready to make a statement while hosting her holiday party, is the Christmas tree dress form mannequin. Someone you know may have an old dress form laying around and don't know what to do with it. Try dressing your form up with long or short arrangements adorned with bows and lights for your Christmas tree this year.

In a tutorial, chicken wire was adhered around the dress form. Next, old faux Christmas tree pieces were hooked to the wire to build a fluffy skirt. Then, choice decorations were added. You can also add garland to an old dress to get the same effect. The type of mannequin you have will determine how you install your decorations.

Lastly, add a sweater or cute top with a festive brooch or corsage pin to the mannequin's torso to look more chic. Now wouldn't this be a great conversation piece at your dinner party this year? Besides it would be much more interesting talking about what inspired your dress from style as opposed to the color scheme of your usual tree decorations.

Better yet, I think anyone would be thrilled to see one of these in your window this year. Let this neat festive decoration idea be your new holiday mannequin challenge.
