Clovis man dies from morning crash

CLOVIS — A Clovis man died Saturday morning of injuries received in a single-car accident.

According to a release from the Clovis Police Department, officers were dispatched around 1:30 a.m. to the 3100 block of Wallace Street.

Officers found Ramon Rivera, 24, with injuries sustained from a crash with a parked pickup. Rivera was transported to Plains Regional Medical Center, and later to Lubbock.

The house supervisor at University Medical Center confirmed Rivera’s death at 9:43 a.m. (CST).

Rivera, who was traveling south on Wallace, was the vehicle’s only occupant. The crash remained under investigation Saturday.
