Last time out: The Greyhounds ended a five-game losing streak with an 80-70 win over Texas Wesleyan on Dec. 17. New Mexico State survived UC Irvine 85-79 in overtime to notch their ninth-straight win since losing Nov. 18 to New Mexico. The Aggies have avenged that loss during their streak.

Last meeting: 2004, NMSU 86-76. The Aggies lead the all-time series 20-4, and have won the last eight.

Of note: ENMU is averaging 76.1 points as a team on 41.4 percent shooting, but is allowing 79.3 points on 44.2 percent shooting. The Aggies are outscoring opponents 77.6-67.5 on the season, ... Marquise Harris (15.6 points per game) just outpaces CoRnell Neal (15.5). Neal, meanwhile, leads the team in assists (47) and steals (18). Chris Lewis leads the Hounds with eight rebounds a game. Ian Baker leads five Aggies in double figures at 14.4 points per game. Junior guard Braxton Huggins is scoring 13.8 per game and is shooting 47.4 percent from beyond the arc. Eli Chuha leads NMSU with eight boards a game. ... The Greyhounds’ last victory in Las Cruces came 65 years ago in a 42-33 win over then New Mexico A&M. The Greyhounds finished 20-9 that season as part of the New Mexico Athletic Conference.
