1976: Batteries were stolen from six trucks parked inside the fence at McGehee Truck Co. at 1413 W. Seventh in Clovis.
Other Clovis police reports included:
• Three boys with BB guns were suspected of shooting up a camper and storm door windows at the home of J. H. Jones, 903 Walnut.
• Vinton Pipe and Steel officials said $200 to $250 had been stolen from their office at 720 Tatum.
• Gary Hickman of Melrose reported someone stole tools worth $250 from his truck while it was parked on East Mabry Drive.
1971: Year-end clearance sales at TG&Y included:
• Cracker Jacks, 31 cents per box;
• Greeting cards, 47 cents per box;
• Typing paper, 67 cents per package;
• Metal file cabinets, $13.99 to $31.99.
