Logan and Amber Hemphill, with 4-year-old son Lawson and newborn Allison, are the parents for the first baby of 2017 in the eastern New Mexico area.
Allison Jayne Hemphill came a week earlier than her parents expected, but they still thought she'd be a little bit late.
Turned out Allison was just on time — 4:44 a.m. Sunday, to be exact — to be the first area baby of 2017.
