By the numbers: 2016 city permits

A final look at 2016 permits filed in the city of Clovis, according to records from the Building Safety Department:

• 1 - New residential permits filed in December. February, May and October also had just one new residential permit. The high for a month was nine, reached in May and November.

• 41 - Total new residential permits for 2016.

• 4 - Roofing permits for December. The permits were filed by four different applicants.

• 132 - Total roofing permits for 2016.

• $751 - Most expensive permit fee for December, issued for a new residence on the 2100 block of Kearny Boulevard.

$68,246 - Most expensive permit fee of 2016, filed in July on a $30.5 million expansion of Southwest Cheese. It's the most expensive permit fee by far; without it, no month reached $16,000 in total fees.

• 2 - Commercial add/remodel permits in December, bringing the total for the year to 48. There were also 14 permits filed for new commercial buildings.

• $20 - Cheapest December permit fee with an actual cost, occurring on a curb cut on the 900 block of Sycamore.

• 17 - Total permits in December. It's the lowest monthly total of 2016, beating out January (26) and February (28). The most permits in a month was 54 in May.

• 467 - Total permits for 2016.

• $2,327 - Permit fees for December.

• $193,019 - Permit fees for 2016.
