ENMU women tied for second in regional poll

PORTALES — Eastern New Mexico University’s women continue to be tied for second in the NCAA Division II South Central Region poll after splitting a pair of Lone Star Conference games last week.

Unbeaten Colorado State-Pueblo (21-0) continues to lead the poll, while the Greyhounds (15-4, 11-1 LSC) share second with Angelo State (15-4) and Regis (16-3).

LSC teams besides ENMU and Angelo ranked in the top 109 include West Texas A&M (sixth) and Texas A&M-Commerce (ninth).

ENMU, which has been ranked in the last eight polls, has posted its most wins since 2003-04 (16-12) and its most LSC victories since 1992-93 (12-2).
