CLOVIS — A Clovis man was arrested and charged with aggravated assault Tuesday after pointing a gun at emergency medical technicians.
Alan Weber, 36, was booked Tuesday into the Curry County Adult Detention Center for aggravated assault upon a health care worker with intent to commit a felony and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was released the same day on a $10,000 cash only bond for the first charge and a $5,000 cash only bond for the second charge.
It was not immediately known if Weber had an attorney.
According to court records, the Clovis Fire Department responded to a call at 10:25 p.m. Tuesday regarding a man’s eyes “rolling back” and part of his face being swollen.
After EMTs entered the house, Weber aimed a gun at them. Two EMTs left the house while a third left once Weber turned away.
The report said Weber had consumed around 4,000 to 5,000 milligrams of Tylenol and four or five beers. He was transported to the Clovis Police Department after receiving treatment from Plains Regional Medical Center.
