Look your best on game day

It's game day and you can bet football fans everywhere are getting the party started early. You don’t have to be tailgating in Houston to sport your best football style and have a good time.

So, what's everyone wearing today? You can bet Patriots and Falcons fans alike are representing their teams with hats, jerseys and jackets. Whether you’re a team fan or watching for the viewing pleasure of the facetious commercials or the halftime performance by Lady Gaga, you ought to be cool, comfortable and picture ready.

For starters, grab a ball cap. Not only are they the best hats trending for spring 2017 fashion, but they're also no fuss no matter the weather. Besides, there's no better save than a ball cap on a bad hair day and, ladies, they look so chic with big earrings.

Gentlemen, you get a pass today because I'm sure the last thing you're worried about is style. So pull out jerseys, smile and nod when your lady asks you if she looks okay.

Next, for the ladies, is team nail color. Some of you may have already gotten yours done by the professionals, but for the rest of us who choose to save a little dough, a few coats of DIY nail polish is just as flattering. Represent the team you're fighting for with a fresh new polish. If you're undecided, paint one hand red, white and blue and the other black, white, silver and red and have some good laughs. Needless to say, yes, I had to look up the Falcons team colors. The Patriots colors were given away by their name.

The safest fashion tip is to wear jeans because you can’t go wrong unless your jeans don’t fit. Or, try shorts with long socks and boots or tights, tees and a flannel. Be fun and creative.

Today is the day to match everything up, paint your faces, and I don’t mean by wearing too much makeup, and just have a grand ol' time.
