CLOVIS — A Clovis resident has been charged with criminal sexual contact of a minor in the third degree (child under 13).
Patrick Avent, 50, was booked Tuesday in the Curry County Adult Detention Center.
Avent is currently being held on a $25,000 cash or surety bond for the charge. He was also booked for probation violation with a $25,000 cash or surety bond.
It was not immediately known if Avent had an attorney.
Allegations were initiated on Jan. 3 after an officer received a sex offense call.
