CLOVIS — The Curry County Assessor’s Office announced Thursday it will begin reappraising county property on March 1.
“All types of properties will be visited including residential, commercial, mobile homes and agricultural-based land and structures,” the release stated. “The appraisers will be verifying size, condition and usage, as well as any additions to the home and/or buildings.”
Properties were last reappraised in 2005, with the exception of mobile homes. Those were reappraised in 2014.
Assessors will notify property owners and carry identification when assessing property, the release said. The process will occur over a five year cycle, within a period of six months each year.
