Denny’s hosting grand opening
Denny’s in Clovis is hosting a Grand Celebration Wednesday.
The event begins at 8 a.m. and ends at midnight, according to a company press release.
The restaurant opened its new location in Clovis on Jan. 22.
Plateau offers scholarship
Applications are now sought for this year’s Plateau Education Foundation Scholarship Program.
The foundation will accept applications through March 6, and forms are available at area high school guidance offices, local Plateau retail stores (Clayton, Clovis, Farwell, Fort Sumner, Logan, Santa Rosa and Vaughn) or online at http://www.plateautel.com/company/scholarships.
Applicants must plan to attend a regionally-accredited vocational school, college or university; have a 2.5 cumulative grade point average and be a legal dependent of an active cooperation member receiving landline service at one the cooperative’s service exchange areas.
Winners will be introduced at the cooperative’s membership meeting April 22 in Clovis.
