Man gets two years on drug charges

PORTALES — A Roosevelt County man connected to a large-scale drug bust in April was given two years in prison at a plea conference at the Roosevelt County Courthouse.

Miguel Flores, 39, who was arrested on three counts of trafficking methamphetamine alongside 11 other drug-related arrests in April, was sentenced to two years in the New Mexico Department of Corrections with five years of probation by Ninth Judicial District Court Judge Donna Mowrer, according to Assistant District Attorney Jake Boazman.

A call to Flores’ attorney, Daniel Lindsey, was not immediately returned.
