Wildcadettes take awards in competition

CLOVIS — On Saturday, the Clovis High School Wildcadette Dance Team competed in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Dance Championship and received the following awards:

• Sweepstakes/Gussie Nell Davis Award

• Judges Award — Pom

• Judges Award — Hip Hop

• Judges Award — Military

• Judges Award — Novelty

• Platinum Award for Excellence in the four areas of presentation, precision, choreography, and technique

• Wow Factor Award

• First Runner-up — Academic Award

• Outstanding Team (voted by other teams in the competition)

• Second Runner-up — Small High School Division

The team received fourth place overall out of 38 teams.
