CLOVIS — A Clovis man was sentenced to 11 years in prison for charges connected to a stabbing and high-speed chase last April, according to a release from the district attorney’s office.
Robert M. Sena, 28, must serve at least 85 percent of the sentence for kidnapping, aggravated battery against a household member and aggravated fleeing from a law enforcement officer. He will also be required to serve five years supervised probation upon release.
According to the release, Sena led police on a high-speed pursuit which police terminated after speeds exceeded 90 mph. Police later found the car disabled in an accident and found a woman inside the vehicle bleeding from multiple stab wounds. Witnesses said Sena went to the victim’s home, stabbed the victim’s brother and forced her into the car, where he began stabbing her.
Sena originally faced 21 felony charges, but most were dismissed following a plea of no contest on three.
A call placed to his attorney, Lauren Mullins of the public defender’s office, was not immediately returned.
