St. Patrick's day is Friday and those who love being festive and avoiding the annoying gesture of getting pinched will be wearing their best green on green. Whether you're an enthusiastic celebrant or a reluctant participant, there are so many ways to deck yourself out in green this holiday.
Various retailers compete each year to adorn you with green beads and super-enthusiastic leprechaun hats, but you don’t have to commit to making purchases like these for the holiday because a touch of green isn’t far away from your own closet.
There are a few sneaky ways to partake in St. Patrick's day and still have good style and it starts with your own accessories. Start by swapping out your everyday purse with a green handbag. We all have purchased that stand-out bag that sits on the shelf that we occasionally pull out that will be perfect for occasions like these.
You may also choose to be subtle and add an emerald green bracelet, cuff or drop earrings to your outfit. In most cases, you probably haven't noticed how much green you actually possess in these key pieces.
You may also be able to incorporate a bit of green with a pair of your own sneakers, sunglasses, a headband or whatever your favorite accessory is. Have yourself a casual cool St. Patrick's day with a green zip hoodie or green sports ball cap.
Don’t have anything green to wear in clothing? Try on some green eyeshadow or green nail polish; or take it to another level and try a green hair clip in or spray on a strip of sparkly green hair dye for kicks. Another cute idea for the hair is to make a clover crown. You can’t go wrong with a floral crown and what better excuse to wear one made of faux clover leaves to pay tribute to the holiday.
