Area players tabbed for Amarillo all-star games

CANYON — Several basketball players from area schools have been chosen to play in the Golden Spread All-Star Classic, to be played at First United Bank Center on the campus of West Texas A&M.

Semifinal games (times MDT) will be on Thursday for the girls — South vs. East at 5 p.m., North vs. West at 7 p.m. — and on Friday for the boys — West vs. North at 5 p.m., East vs. South at 7 p.m. Third-place games are at 10 a.m. (girls) and noon (boys) on Saturday, with championship games set for 3 and 5 p.m., respectively.

For the boys, Texico’s Braden Fraze is on the North squad, with Jeremie Karngbaye of Portales and Farwell’s Jace Perkins on the East and Junior Ramirez of Portales on the West.

The lone girls representative is Farwell’s Lindsi Coburn, who will play for the North
